The FBI franchise just premiered a huge crossover, and fans are loving it.

Dick Wolf's reboot of FBI was an instant hit when it debuted in 2018, prompting CBS to produce two spin-offs: Most Wanted and International. All of the shows have received rave reviews from fans and boast huge ratings, reaffirming Wolf's status as the most successful producer in the current network TV landscape.

While all three shows are interconnected, crossovers between them have been limited until this week when CBS released a three-part episode titled 'Imminent Threat.' Here's how to watch them in order.

This three-hour episode started off rather low-key with the kidnapping of an American citizen in Rome, but things quickly escalated when a major terrorist attack on New York was uncovered. All three FBI teams were forced to work together, racing against the clock to stop the attack.

The first part of 'Imminent Threat' began as the 16th episode of International's second season and continued as the 17th episode of the main show's season five. The grand finale premiered as the 16th episode of season four of Most Wanted — and, needless to say, fans were stunned at how well the whole crossover turned out.

While crossover episodes are almost always hated by the fandom, as they force the viewers to follow several shows all at once, FBI provided a master class in how to make such episodes engaging and easy-to-follow for viewers.

The main storyline was expertly spread across three series, and each episode featured one team in the spotlight, making the entire plot compelling and realistic.

Fans praise Wolf for making this storyline stand alone, as no prior knowledge of the spin-off was needed to fully experience 'Imminent Threat.' While most fans only watch the main show, many admit that, after getting to know other teams through the crossover, they are now seriously considering binge-watching the spin-offs as well.

All in all, it looks like CBS has managed to produce one really exciting and compelling global crossover, which allowed each show's cast to shine in their own right.
