How to Read Every Heartstopper Novel in Order, Including Solitaire & This Winter

Netflix's Hearstopper has taken our screens and hearts by storm. There is something so charming and heartfelt about the romantic story of Charlie Spring and Nick Nelson that many viewers don't want to leave this universe.
If you are one of those who has been enchanted by Heartstopper, there is good news for you. You don't have to wait until 2024 to be reunited with your favorite characters. The show is based on the young adult webcomic and graphic novel series by Alice Oseman, who also wrote the script for the show.
The series consists of four volumes, with the fifth coming out on December 7 this year. In addition, the author has other series, novels, and novellas set in the same universe and featuring or mentioning Nick and Charlie.
All these stories together create a cozy, feel-good universe that we have only had a brief glimpse of on screen.
Best Order to Read the Source Material In
Now, if I got you convinced you need to read Alic Osman's Heartstopper source material, the next question is, what's the best order to read the titles in? I think I might have a really great idea on that.
While you can certainly read the books in the order they were written and published or just start with whatever novel you get your hands on first, there is a more immersive and fun way: read the series in chronological order.
That way, you can be with Nick and Charlie all the way as their relationship and arcs evolve, and they grow as characters. Isn't that the best?

If you want to be extra accurate about the timeline of the novels, split Heartstopper: Volume Four into two parts and read the first one before This Winter and the second one after Solitaire since the second half of Volume Four skims over the events that are described in more detail in Solitaire.
