Fans demand that they get back together.

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are best known for portraying Bella Swan and Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies, roles that earned them wealth and worldwide fame.

Their celebrity status was further heightened due to their real-life romance, which lasted several years.

Unlike their characters' love story, Stewart and Pattinson's relationship did not end well. Kristen admitted to cheating on Robert after being caught in a photo with Rupert Sanders, the director of Snow White and the Huntsman (2012), in which Kristen played the lead role. Nevertheless, Kristen and Robert's past romance continues to captivate many fans.

Certain corners of the internet have expressed a strong desire to see the pair together on screen again, even if in antagonistic roles, perhaps especially so.

When Robert Pattinson was cast as the titular superhero in The Batman (2022), a social media campaign called for Kristen Stewart to be cast as the Joker. The idea was so outlandish it may as well have originated with the Joker himself, yet it garnered attention and discussion from serious media outlets.

Although the campaign ultimately (and thankfully) went nowhere, it provided an opportunity to hear Kristen Stewart's thoughts on reuniting with Pattinson on screen.

In an interview with Variety, she carefully dismissed the idea of playing the Joker without offending anyone but also added that she loved the energy behind that. She did not express any aversion to the idea of working with Pattinson again.

So, at least theoretically, the two could appear in the same movie again, even if not as a romantic couple. However, there are no known plans or projects involving their reunion as of the time of this writing, so it is unlikely to happen within the next two to three years, given the usual movie production cycle.

Pattinson's upcoming sci-fi thriller, Mickey 17, is already in post-production. On the other hand, Stewart has several projects in her busy schedule, most notably writing and directing a film adaptation of The Chronology of Water, which will be her debut as a feature film director.
