Hollywood's 5 Most Famous Acting Families, from Hemsworths to Skarsgårds

Acting talent is a weird thing that may come out of nowhere, as a seemingly regular individual can suddenly blossom into a star when given the right opportunity. In some families, however, acting skills seem to be passed on in generations.

Here is a list of five most famous Hollywood families, where stardom is in the genes.

5. Hemsworths

Luke, Chris, and Liam were born into a family of an English teacher and a social worker, so you can't really say they inherited their acting skills — but somehow, all three brothers are incredibly talented performers! The oldest brother, Luke, was the first to appear on screen in Australian soaps, followed by Chris. Liam, the youngest Hemsworth, also started his career in Australian TV series, making his debut at the age of 16.

4. Howards

Sons of Rance Howard and Jean Speegle, both famous actors, Ron and Clint Howard also pursued careers in Hollywood. Ron Howard first came to prominence as a child actor in the late 1950s and since then has become one of the most famous directors. His brother Clint is an actor, but his career has not been as successful.
Ron's daughter Bryce Dallas Howard is also a famous actress and director, involved in the shows of the Star Wars franchise, from The Mandalorian to the upcoming Skeleton Crew. The director's other daughter, Paige Carlyle, is pursuing an acting career too.

3. Fishers

Eddie Fisher, a famous singer and actor, had four children — Carrie, Todd, Joely, and Tricia Leigh. While all of them have become actors and directors, the late Carrie Fisher is perhaps the best known of all, as she will always be remembered as the beautiful and strong Princess Leia of Star Wars.
Carrie's daughter, Billie Lourd, has also been involved in acting, first starring in Disney's Star Wars sequels and now appearing regularly on the American Horror Story franchise.

Do we need to tell you how famous actors Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith are? Not really, and it is no surprise that their two children, Jaden and Willow, are following in their parents' footsteps in their music and acting careers. Jaden, by the way, is also a voice actor.

Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård, known for his roles in Lars von Trier's projects, has eight children. Four of them — Alexander, Gustaf, Bill, and Valter — have inherited their famous father's acting genes. The Skarsgård name is now everywhere, from It and Vikings to Andor and Succession.
