It had been nearly four years since the final season of Game of Thrones ended when its prequel, House of the Dragon, debuted on HBO.

While the original fantasy series had been an international success, the prequel wasn't welcomed by everyone. Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke, who portrayed Daenerys Targaryen, refused to watch the Targaryen family spin-off.

Her colleague and fellow cast member, Kit Harington, has a different opinion about House of the Dragon. When asked by Extra, the actor behind beloved Jon Snow admitted that he's watched the prequel. He even liked the first few episodes. However, he is very cautious about the others.

Despite having a mostly positive opinion of the series, Kit Harington admitted to feeling apprehensive about it.

After spending almost a decade on Game of Thrones, he can be understood. What had become a part of his life now continued without him, the actor said. "You're watching a lot of people in your costumes!" Harington explained.

However, the actor seems to have liked what he saw in House of the Dragon. Calling the prequel a great job, Harington is taking his time watching it. Some Game of Thrones fans also need time to get used to all the new storylines and characters.

After all, these are connected to the stories we loved watching for eight consecutive seasons. It is understandable that for the original cast, watching House of the Dragon must feel like opening old wounds.

It is difficult to see yourself replaced by other people. Although the prequel takes place 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, it features familiar locations, similar names and costumes, and the actors speak with the same accents and fictional languages.

Kit Harington seems to have accepted the change and is slowly but surely moving down the path of acceptance. Maybe he'll even make it to the already announced Season 2.

When asked about a possible sequel about him, Jon Snow does not know anything. Nor can we be sure that we'll ever see Kit Harington in his recognizable costume again.
