Here's When How I Met Your Father Season 2 Remaining Episodes Will Air
The second season of the spin-off just went on hiatus, and it will be a long one.
How I Met Your Mother was one of the greatest sitcoms of its era, bringing a more down-to-earth vibe to the winning formula of The Friends. However, after the show ended in its ninth season, fans did not ask for a spin-off or continuation, agreeing that the controversial ending was more than enough to cement the show's legacy.
Nevertheless, Hulu decided to produce a spin-off focusing on the new character Sophie (Hilary Duff). While fans initially hated the comedy series, season two proved that How I Met Your Father was worthy of its fans' love.
On March 28, the show went on a mid-season break, and to the surprise of fans, it will be quite a long one. The second part of the second season is scheduled to arrive on Hulu on May 23.
The second half would consist of 9 episodes, bringing the total number of episodes in the second season to 20. While fans are happy that the show scored a bigger second season, some questions still surfaced about the release schedule.
Up until the middle of the season, How I Met Your Father premiered its episodes on Tuesdays, a perfectly reasonable day for a comedy to premiere. However, when the show returns in May, the first two episodes will premiere on Sunday and the four following episodes will premiere on Saturday.
The season finale will air on Sunday, July 11. Fans are not quite sure why Hulu decided to change the days of release of the show, wondering if the Tuesday spot was not beneficial to shows ratings.

Although watching the show on weekends is not really convenient, fans are willing to accept it if it can boost the show's ratings, hoping that Hulu will renew How I Met Your Father for a third season. In the meantime, fans will have to wait almost two months for the show to return – a perfect timeframe to binge all 9 seasons of the original show!
