Here's How Niall Horan Really Feels About One Direction Reunion (Not That It's Happening)
How often do you think Niall Horan gets asked about a One Direction reunion?
Although One Direction went on indefinite hiatus more than seven years ago, their fan base remains as dedicated and active as ever, closely following each ex-member's life and career in the hopes that one day the 1D boys will come to their senses and reunite.
Recently, fan hopes have been fueled by rumors that Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik could perform together again on the final episode of The Late Late Show. However, much to the disappointment of fans, only Styles made a cameo appearance during the episode.
When asked about the long-awaited reunion, the singer and actor told James Corden that he personally hasn't closed the door on the idea.
'I fear that it's not a yes or no question. I think I would never say never to that,' Styles said. 'If there was a time when we wanted to do it, I don't see why we wouldn't.'
Shortly after this somewhat hopeful revelation, Niall Horan also addressed the reunion rumors. The victorious The Voice US judge sat down with ET Canada and opened up about whether he agrees with his ex-bandmate. First of all, Horan noted that fan interest in a One Direction reunion is nothing new to him.
'I do get asked it every day,' he said to the astonishment of the host.
When the question about the possibility of a reunion followed, the singer didn't miss a beat in answering.
'I don't know anything about it. There hasn't been a conversation. I'm sure if there ever is one, you'll know about it,' the reply was.
But how does Horan personally feel about the reunion? Does he see eye to eye with Styles, who is not opposed to the idea? As a matter of fact, he does.
'I agree with Harry,' Horan said when asked to comment on his friend's revelation. 'Same thing as he said.'
Such an answer may not be exactly what 1D fans want to hear, as it doesn't really sound like a final promise. But at the very least, it means that two ex-bandmates are keeping an open mind about a reunion and would consider getting back together if the opportunity presents itself. And it is breadcrumbs like this that keep the huge fandom going!
