The show's creators really put in the effort to compile a truly original soundtrack that features a medley of performers from big names like Taylor Swift to more independent acts like Wolf Alice and mxmtoon. Most importantly, though, the music helps viewers better understand the characters and what they're going through, setting the mood of the entire show.

Given how intense and personal the plot and the main characters' struggles are, with Nick feeling pressured to come out and Charlie being scared that they will drift apart, the soundtrack allows the audience to navigate the emotional turmoil unfolding on screen.
