Heartstopper Season 3 Spoilers Leak in Behind-the-Scenes Videos
What do you do when the entire cast and crew of the Heartstopper show arrive in your town? You film and document everything you can, of course.
That's exactly what the locals of Lyme Regis, a coastal town in West Dorset, England, did earlier this week when Kit Connor, Joe Locke, and the rest of the ensemble cast arrived to film a beach scene for Season 3.
While the town was closed to cars and the beach that served as the set was off-limits to the general public, bystanders were still able to observe the filming process in action and even record videos that were later shared on social media.
Thanks to these leaks, we now have a pretty good idea of what will transpire in Heartstopper Season 3. Well, in one episode of the season, that is.
The Day at the Beach
Fans have been theorizing that since Season 2 was primarily based on Book 3 of the Heartstopper graphic novels, Season 3 would focus on the events of Book 4. The new leaks confirm this.
The scene filmed on the beach in Lyme Regis likely follows the chapter in the novel where Nick and Charlie spend the day with their friends, including Tao, Elle, Tara, and Darcy. Not without applying copious amounts of sunscreen to Kit Connor's back, of course.
The Piggyback Ride
Friends have fun at the beach, play volleyball, and hang out. The leaked videos warmed the hearts of fans with the adorable scene of Nick carrying Charlie on his back. No wonder Charlie is so smitten.
But this is not where the love confession is supposed to occur, according to the book. While Charlie is mustering up the courage to finally say 'I love you,' Nick is concerned about Charlie's issues with food and body image, so they discuss that instead.
The Birthday Gift
In one of the videos, you can see a crew member taking pictures of Joe and Kit in their beach attire. That could be in preparation for the touching gift Charlie gives Nick on his 17th birthday later in the season.
Nick receives a picture of them on the beach together, which mirrors the scene where he gave Charlie a framed photo of their snow day. Those two are just the best, aren't they?
