Throughout its history, Warner Bros. has released many incredible animated films, including works by Tim Burton, the master of gothic projects, and Zack Snyder, the king of comic book movies.
1. Happy Feet, 2006
In the world of emperor penguins, music is essential – they have a heart song that helps them find a mate. Almost all of them. Mumble can't sing a note, but he dances beautifully.
However, dancing is unacceptable for emperor penguins. Mumble becomes an outcast and goes through difficult trials before realizing that his peculiarity is a real gift, not a disadvantage.
The voice cast of the animated film included Elijah Wood, Robin Williams, Nicole Kidman, and Hugh Jackman. Happy Feet won an Oscar for Best Animated Film.
2. Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, 2010
Dark clouds are gathering over the owl kingdom. During a test flight, brothers Kludd and Soren fall to the ground by accident and are soon kidnapped by the Pure, a military unit that wants to seize power over the bird world.
While Kludd decides to join the dark side, Soren finds himself out of favor with the villains. After learning that the owl kingdom can be saved, he decides to escape.
He must reach the Great Tree of Ga'Hoole, home of the Guardians – wise, strong birds who protect the owl kingdom.
3. Corpse Bride, 2005
This gothic animated movie tells the story of Victor, who, on the day of his wedding rehearsal with Victoria, mistakenly became engaged to Emily, leading him to the realm of the dead. Victor seeks to free himself from the failed vow and return to his true love.
Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter voiced the main roles in the movie, which was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Animated Film category.
4. Rango, 2014
The plot of Rango centers on a chameleon who becomes a sheriff and tries to live up to his responsibilities. The animated project won an Oscar in 2012.
This is another animation voiced by Johnny Depp. Like Tim Burton, Gore Verbinski, who directed Rango, had an invaluable influence on Depp's career because he directed the first three Pirates of the Caribbean films and the western comedy The Lone Ranger, in which Depp played the lead role.
5. The Iron Giant, 1999
The residents of a quiet town witness a blinding flash and the fall of a huge object. A few days later, a boy named Hogarth discovers a giant robot that has flown to Earth from a distant galaxy.
Despite its menacing appearance, the alien turns out to be the kindest creature. A true friendship develops between the robot and the brave boy.
However, when the government and the military learn of the robot's existence, they decide to destroy it. Hogarth is the only one who can save the iron giant.
