Others' kids grow up in an instant…

Halle Berry is a remarkable actress. Even if her name doesn't ring a bell for you, there's a good chance you have seen her in one project or another.

Seeing how much she's achieved, her name's certainly worth remembering.

If you're a fan of superhero movies, you will likely recognise Halle Berry for her roles in the early 2000s. She portrayed Ororo Munroe, also known as Storm, in the Marvel X-Men franchise beginning in 2000. Additionally, Berry took on the role of Catwoman in the 2004 DC film by the same name. However, within the film industry, Halle Berry is celebrated for another milestone: she became the first African-American actress to win an Oscar for Best Actress for her role as Leticia Musgrove in Monster's Ball (2001). Notably, she remained the only woman of colour to receive that award in a staggering twenty-one years.

A few days ago, on 14 August, Halle Berry celebrated her fifty-seventh birthday and shared some photos of the occasion with her fans on Instagram. Many were shocked by how much Berry's daughter, Nahla, has grown.

In 2005, Halle Berry met Gabriel Aubry, a French-Canadian actor. The two welcomed their daughter, Nahla, in 2008. Despite their separation in 2010, they continued to share joint custody. Now, just fifteen years later, Nahla towers over her mother.

In the photos shared on Halle Berry's Instagram, the actress is seen alongside her partner, Van Hunt, and Nahla at the World of Barbie, all dressed in pink attire. While Nahla is only shown from behind, it's evident how tall and graceful she is at fifteen. Standing next to her mother, who is 5'4" (1.65 m) tall, Nahla is a head taller. While this height difference may be somewhat accentuated by high heels (which appear quite uncomfortable, based on one of the photos), the disparity is undeniable. It's no surprise that Berry referred to her daughter as "not so mini anymore" in the post.

Perhaps we'll get a clearer glimpse of Nahla's beauty someday. For now, Happy Birthday, Halle Berry!
