Roblox Grow a Garden goes full spooky season with the Great Pumpkin, a Transcendent, limited-time multi-harvest crop featuring a three-faced Jack-O-Lantern that flips from smile to frown to neutral. Here’s how to unlock it and harvest big before the Halloween event vanishes.

Quick detour from movies and TV to a very seasonal grind: Grow a Garden on Roblox just dropped a Halloween-only plant that is weirdly powerful and annoyingly hard to snag. It is called the Great Pumpkin, and yes, it is a literal jack-o-lantern crop with three faces (smiling, frowning, neutral) on the seed, the plant, and the produce. It is also Transcendent rarity, multi-harvest, and built to mess with the in-game economy in your favor if you can actually get it.

What it is

The Great Pumpkin is a limited-time addition for this year’s Halloween event in Grow a Garden. It is a Transcendent-tier, multi-harvest crop with a passive that quietly turns your whole garden into a money printer. Developer: The Garden Game.

How to unlock it (and why that is the hard part)

You have two ways to buy the seed: 15,000,000,000 Sheckles or 1199 Robux. The catch is it barely appears in the Seed Shop. The listed shop appearance rate is 0.196% (about 1 in 510 checks). Translation: keep opening the Seed Shop throughout the day and hope RNG does you a favor.

There is a tiny workaround: certain pets can help. Drop a Bone Dog, Golden Lab, or Shiba in your garden and they have a rare chance to dig up high-rarity seeds you would normally only see in the shop. It is not reliable, but when the baseline odds are this low, you take every edge you can get.

One more wrinkle: an admin recently restocked the Great Pumpkin seed in the shop for a bit. If you happened to catch that window, you got very lucky.

Why the Great Pumpkin matters

The reason this thing is such a big deal is its passive. Every 5 minutes, it applies a Ghostly mutation to a random plant in your garden. A Ghostly mutation multiplies that plant’s fruit value by 28x. That includes other plants, not just the pumpkin, and it refreshes on the timer. It is one of those mechanics that looks simple and then quietly snowballs your profits across the board.

  • Rarity: Transcendent (limited-time Halloween event)
  • Type: Multi-harvest crop
  • Look: Jack-o-lantern with three faces (smile, frown, neutral) on seed/plant/produce
  • Seed Shop price: 15,000,000,000 Sheckles or 1199 Robux
  • Shop appearance odds: 0.196% (about 1 in 510 checks)
  • Seed sell value: 362,000 Sheckles (highest seed sell price in the shop, but tiny compared to its cost)
  • Passive: Every 5 minutes, a random plant gets Ghostly
  • Ghostly effect: 28x fruit value multiplier
  • Pet assist: Bone Dog, Golden Lab, Shiba can rarely dig up high-rarity seeds

So... is it worth it?

Short answer: yes. Long answer: it looks ridiculous to pay 15 billion Sheckles for a seed you could turn around and only sell for 362k, but the point is not to flip it. You plant it and let the passive go to work. A garden-wide 28x spike hitting something every 5 minutes adds up fast, and it lifts everything you are already growing. If the seed shows up for you, buy it in Sheckles or Robux and do not overthink it. It pays off over time.

Bottom line

Finding it is the painful part. Keep checking the Seed Shop all day, park those pets to fish for rare digs, and hope the RNG cooperates. If the Great Pumpkin pops, grab it. This is one of those event items that actually earns its hype once it is in the ground.
