Genshin Impact 6.1 Banners: Don’t Waste Your Primogems—Here’s Who to Pull

Genshin Impact Version 6.1 Luna II lands October 22 with one of the most stacked banner lineups in recent memory. Riding the momentum of 6.0’s breakout Flins and the arrival of Nod Krai, the update introduces a new character from the new region and fresh reasons to dive back in.
Genshin Impact is about to hit Version 6.1, and yeah, the banners are stacked. Luna II lands October 22, and after 6.0 gave us Flins and opened up Nod Krai, this update keeps that momentum going with a brand-new character from the new region and a round of heavyweight reruns.
Release timing and who is on rate-up
Version 6.1 follows the usual six-week cadence, split into two phases that each run for roughly three weeks. HoYoverse confirmed the full lineup during the October 10 livestream, and it lines up with a new mode launch too (more on that in a second).
- Phase 1 (Oct 22 – Nov 11, 2025): Nefer (new 5-star Dendro Catalyst, from Nod Krai) and Furina (5-star Hydro Sword rerun)
- Phase 2 (Nov 11 – Dec 2, 2025): Arlecchino (5-star Pyro Polearm rerun) and Zhongli (5-star Geo Polearm rerun)
Signature 5-star weapons are tagging along: Reliquary of Truth for Nefer, Splendor of Tranquil Waters for Furina, Crimson Moon's Semblance for Arlecchino, and Vortex Vanquisher for Zhongli.
Also starting with 6.1: Miliastra Wonderland, a new create-and-share sandbox mode for building custom minigames. That is a very systems-nerdy swing for Genshin, and I am curious how wild the community gets with it.
So... who should you pull?
Nefer (new Dendro Catalyst)
Nefer is the headliner. She is a main DPS built around Lunar-Bloom, a fresh twist on Bloom that amps your Dendro reactions into stronger 'Lunar' versions. If you grabbed Lauma in 6.0, this is clearly the follow-up piece HoYoverse wants you to pair her with. Nefer pays off if you are good at timing and chaining reactions; Nahida, Yelan, and Baizhu are standout teammates. If you like reaction-heavy teams or just want the newest Dendro tech, Nefer looks like a long-term investment.
Furina (Hydro Sword rerun)
Furina remains one of the most universally useful units in the game. She flips between Ousia and Pneuma to trade off-field damage for team sustain, so she slides into almost any comp and makes it better. If you missed her before, this is one of those rare banners where your Primogems feel safe.
Arlecchino (Pyro Polearm rerun)
Arlecchino is for players who like their DPS spicy and hands-on. She cannot be healed by others, but her damage scales hard off Bond of Life, so the reward is there if you keep pressure up and manage windows cleanly. If Hu Tao or Xiao clicked for you, she will too.
Zhongli (Geo Polearm rerun)
Zhongli is still the comfort pick that makes everything feel easier. His giant shield, resistance shred, and petrify burst smooth out boss fights and overworld roaming alike. You do not need him to clear content, but few characters lower the stress level of the game like he does.
The bottom line
Luna II is one of those patches where almost any pull has a case. Nefer brings a new reaction and team style, Furina is evergreen value, Arlecchino rewards aggressive play, and Zhongli remains the ultimate quality-of-life option. With Miliastra Wonderland debuting alongside, there is plenty to do while you farm pity. Who are you going for?
