Unlike other streaming services, Apple TV+ offers mostly original programming, so content may seem scarce. But that scarcity makes for high quality, as these five brand-new series prove.
The Big Cigar (5.7 on IMDb)
Inspired by Joshuah Bearman's Playboy article, this biographical drama-thriller tells the story of Huey P. Newton, founder of the Black Panther Party, who was wanted by the FBI. Set in 1974, the series follows the FBI's orchestrated manhunt for Newton and his elaborate escape to Cuba disguised as a movie shoot, made possible by the help of famed film and television producer Bert Schneider.
All six episodes of the new miniseries are available for streaming.
Presumed Innocent (7.6 on IMDb)
In this TV adaptation of Scott Turow's book of the same name, Jake Gyllenhaal stars as Rusty Sabich, a Chicago prosecutor assigned to a murder case involving the harrowing death of his colleague Carolyn, with whom he was having a secret extramarital affair. Unwilling to reveal the nature of his relationship with the victim in order to keep his family life intact, Rusty becomes the prime suspect in the case when the truth comes out.
Episode 5 will be released on July 3.
Camp Snoopy (7.7 on IMDb)
A new installment in the franchise about the beloved canine character, this TV show follows Snoopy and his Beagle Scouts on a new adventure. Threatened with disbandment, the team heads outdoors to learn new skills and earn Scout badges. Meanwhile, Charlie Brown and his friends enjoy a wonderful summer at camp, where their and Snoopy's paths cross as the outdoors prove to be more challenging than expected.

Dark Matter (7.8 on IMDb)
Adapted from Blake Crouch's novel of the same name, this sci-fi series follows Joel Edgerton's Jason Dessen, a Chicago physicist who accidentally switches lives with a version of himself from an alternate reality. Now Jason must find a way to get his old life back. To make matters worse, there's a huge risk that his alternate version might hurt his real family, so Jason has to work fast.
As of today, all nine episodes are available for streaming.
Land of Women (Not Rated Yet)
Starring Eva Longoria, this comedy-drama-thriller follows her character Gala, the wife of a wealthy New York financier, who must flee the US with her mother Julia and daughter Kate when her husband goes missing after his shady business dealings are exposed and various crooks begin looking for him. Gala can't find a better place to hide than her mother's small hometown in Spain. Now the three women must adjust to a new life that's very different from what they're used to.
Land of Women premieres today, with the next episode to be released on July 3.
