Gachiakuta Episode 15 Review: The Cleaners Plunge Into Their Funniest Yet Deadliest Showdown

Gachiakuta episode 15 opens with a gut-punch twist: the Raiders seize Rudo, Enjin, Zanka, and other Cleaners, splitting them into brutal one-on-ones—then leave Rudo face-to-face with their chief, Zodyl Typhon, who offers an alliance instead of a fight. Battle lines aren’t just shifting; they’re shattering.
Spoilers ahead for Gachiakuta episode 15. If you are not caught up, now is a great time to slam the brakes.
The setup: a capture, a split, and a curveball
Episode 15 wastes zero time. The Raiders have already grabbed Rudo, Enjin, Zanka, and a few other Cleaners, then split them up for one-on-one fights. That leaves Rudo face to face with the Raiders leader, Zodyl Typhon. And instead of throwing hands, Zodyl does something nobody had on their bingo card: he asks Rudo to team up and bring down the sphere. As far as cold opens go, it is easily the most charged first five minutes the show has had.
Rudo’s headspace gets messy
That invitation flips a switch. The second Zodyl talks about toppling the sphere, Rudo flashes on a darker version of the plan — the sphere obliterated, the bodies of the people who tossed him to the Ground lying around it. He tries to steer the convo away, but Zodyl clocks the deflection immediately. In trying to hide it, Rudo basically outs himself.
It is a big character beat: the rage we have seen simmering in Rudo looks like it could shove him right to the edge of doing something awful. He is not just the wronged kid anymore; he is an angry guy with revenge on his mind, barely keeping the bloodlust under wraps. He could still choose the right side, but peeling back that layer makes him feel more human — not a goody two-shoes, but someone wrestling with intrusive thoughts he does not like admitting out loud.
Bones turns the action dial up
On the craft side, Bones keeps flexing. The initial Zanka vs. Jabber clash is shot and staged with that clean, readable choreography the studio does so well. Movements are crisp, the speed is palpable, and there are enough razor-close beats to make you hold your breath.
Character design gets a pop too with the debut of Noerde Hew Amozo. She walks in with style and bite, trades a blunt, funny back-and-forth with Riyo, then casually shows off hair crackling with static electricity. The always-relaxed vibe sells how dangerous she is without the show screaming it at you.
Comedy breaks through the chaos
- Riyo is apparently terrified of cockroaches. Like, truly terrified.
- Zanka once had poop thrown at him. It is exactly as gross as it sounds.
- Enjin is the stuff of nightmares for every introvert, in the most uncomfortable way.
- Jabber unveils a secret power-up and waits for Zanka to answer with his own… while Zanka just stares back, baffled. Perfect deadpan gag.
Where it leaves us
It is an electrifying chapter that sharpens Rudo’s arc and tees up even bigger throwdowns next week. Episode 16 has a high bar to clear. Gachiakuta is streaming now on Crunchyroll.
