Fox is reupping the laughs: Animal Control has been renewed for Season 5, with Joel McHale and the misfit animal control squad returning for more chaos.

Fox is sticking with one of its steadiest half-hours: Animal Control is officially coming back for Season 5.

This felt inevitable. The show delivers for the network, and Fox controls it top to bottom — owned, produced, and distributed in-house — which makes renewals a lot simpler when the audience keeps showing up.

It is also quietly a streaming powerhouse. On Netflix, the first three seasons have stacked up more than 1 billion minutes viewed. Among comedy series there, it ranks first by total viewers and third by total minutes watched, trailing only Young Sheldon and Seinfeld. That is a serious footprint for a workplace comedy about municipal animal wranglers.

'With the writing, ensemble, and audience response all landing at new levels, renewing Animal Control was an easy decision,' said Michael Thorn, President of Fox Television Network. 'The series launched to new highs in its fourth season, which is a direct reflection of the show's continued creative growth, outstanding producing team, and the incredible Joel McHale as our lead.'
