Weekend shake-up at Fox News as a fan-favorite host lands her own Saturday show, putting her front and center in the network’s lineup.

Fox News is doing some weekend reshuffling, and Aishah Hasnie is right in the middle of it. She’s stepping into a new White House correspondent role immediately, and she’s also getting a solo Saturday show next year. Two moves, two different timelines, same person.

What’s changing and when

Here’s the setup: starting January 10, 2026, Hasnie will anchor a new two-hour program on Saturdays from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM ET. That show takes over the slot currently occupied by 'Fox News Live', which is moving to Sundays. The announcement came from Fox News president and executive editor Jay Wallace.

In the nearer term, you’ll see Hasnie on the White House beat this week. So she’s reporting from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue now, then sliding into the Saturday anchor chair next year. A bit of a staggered rollout, but it makes sense with how Fox tends to rejigger weekends.

  • Hasnie joined Fox News in January 2019 as an overnight anchor and news correspondent.
  • She was promoted in August 2021 to congressional correspondent.
  • She’s guest-hosted across the network, including 'Fox News Live' and 'America's Newsroom'.
  • She’s interviewed Donald Trump when he was a presidential candidate, plus other world leaders and politicians.
  • Variety named her a New York Woman of Impact in 2020 for her COVID-19 coverage.
  • She’s 41 and an Indiana University Bloomington alum.

'Aishah’s knowledge of Washington makes her a perfect addition to our stellar White House team of correspondents, and we are confident she will excel in the anchor chair as well,' Jay Wallace said.

Hasnie, for her part, is clearly game for the double duty:

'I am thrilled for the opportunity to deliver critical information to our viewers across the country in the anchor chair and honored to join our prestigious White House correspondent team.'

Why this is a notable move

Saturday midday isn’t flashy, but a two-hour solo block is a statement. Fox handing that window to Hasnie suggests they’re betting on her as both a front-line reporter in D.C. and a weekend anchor who can carry a show. Also worth noting: earlier this year, some viewers were spun up about whether Steve Doocy or Jennifer Griffin might be leaving the network. They didn’t, but the chatter underlines how closely Fox’s audience tracks talent moves like this.

Bottom line: expect Hasnie on the White House lawn now, and anchoring her own show once January 10, 2026 rolls around. And if you’re used to catching 'Fox News Live' on Saturdays, set a Sunday reminder instead.
