Fox News Shake-Up: Rachel Campos-Duffy Exits — Meet the New Host Taking Over
Rachel Campos-Duffy is out at FOX Noticias, the Spanish-language counterpart to FOX News, and the network has tapped Andrea Linares to take over as host.
Rachel Campos-Duffy is stepping away from FOX Noticias, FOX News' Spanish-language counterpart. The network wasted no time naming a new co-host and, in a bit of a curveball, also teased a 2026 digital expansion.
Andrea Linares steps in
On Monday, December 8, FOX News announced that two-time Emmy-nominated journalist Andrea Linares will take over as co-host of FOX Noticias.
"We are very excited to welcome Andrea to our team on FOX Noticias and we are confident her reporting will resonate with our Latino audience," FOX News Senior Vice President John Sylvester said.
Linares called the move an honor and said she wants to keep telling stories that matter to the Hispanic community in South Florida and across the country.
Who is Andrea Linares
Linares is a University of Miami grad with a political science degree. She has anchored daily two-hour newscasts at TelevisaUnivision since 2016, where she regularly interviewed public figures. Before that, she anchored at WGEN-TV from 2010 to 2016 and worked as a reporter at stations including WSBSTV and WLTV.
What changes now, and what doesn’t
Katrina Campins and Julie Banderas will keep rotating as co-anchors for FOX Noticias. Campos-Duffy isn’t leaving FOX News entirely; she’ll continue on FOX & Friends Weekend.
FOX Noticias is already eyeing 2026
The network also laid out plans for new digital-first programming slated for February 2026. Yes, 2026. Mark your calendar anyway:
- A weekly digital show in both video and audio, built around long-form interviews spanning sports, entertainment, and politics.
- Quick-hit one-minute news updates dropping multiple times a day across all social platforms.
