Forget Salads: Cheesy Herb Crab Stick Patties That Make Weight Loss Feel Easy
Crispy crust, pillowy center, almost no calories—the guilt-free indulgence everyone is talking about.
When the usual cutlets need a time-out and you want something lighter that still fries up golden, make these crab-stick patties. They crisp on the outside, stay soft in the middle, and lean pleasantly light on the calorie math. Think fish cakes, but simpler and quicker.
What you need
- Crab sticks - 200 g
- Boiled eggs - 3
- Hard cheese - 100 g
- Raw egg - 1
- Salt and black pepper - to taste
- Fresh herbs (dill, parsley) - to taste
- Vegetable oil - for frying
How to make them
Grate the crab sticks, boiled eggs, and cheese on a coarse grater. Add the raw egg, finely chopped dill and parsley, a little salt, and a few turns of pepper. Mix everything well until the mixture feels cohesive.
Heat a skillet over medium with a light slick of vegetable oil. With wet hands, shape small patties so they hold together neatly. Set them in the pan and fry for 3–4 minutes per side over medium heat until the crust goes golden and crisp.
Serve these hot. They play nicely with sour cream, plain yogurt, or a pile of fresh vegetables.
