4 reasons why you must watch this show.

With Season 3 of The Morning Show just around the corner, there's just enough time to catch up with one of Apple TV+'s flagship shows.

And if you haven't seen it yet, here's why you should:

1. It has top stars

Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell all appear in the show. These are not actors who take any work that comes their way. They're top stars who are selective about the roles they play and the stories they help tell. Their mere presence on the show should grab your attention.

It's also worth mentioning that the quality of the acting is excellent across the board.

2. It's current

Based on Brian Stelter's 2013 book Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV, the show was inspired by the #MeToo movement and stories of sexual misconduct, ageism and behind-the-scenes personality clashes at popular TV networks.

While the story is not based on any particular individual or show, recent examples of real-life drama on morning shows include allegations against Matt Lauer on NBC's Today in the US and Philip Schofield on This Morning in the UK.

3. It demystifies morning TV

In recent years, we've become accustomed to the fact that what we see on our screens doesn't necessarily reflect the reality of what goes on off-camera. This show takes a peek at what we don't see, shining a light on the pressures, egos and personality clashes that go into making the morning shows we all enjoy.

4. It makes you think

When real stories like this break, real lives are affected. And we only get snippets of information about what the allegations are or who they concern. Often this can lead to nothing more than speculation and gossip. But while the average viewer may not be privy to the details of a specific allegation, it can easily be argued that such stories, if true, are in the public interest.

The Morning Show allows the cast and audience to explore aspects of this issue from different perspectives. This, in turn, allows people to discuss what is generally accepted to be a real problem without the debate becoming voyeuristic or rumour over substance.
