Who is in it
Starring Eugene as Cha Su-yeon and Ji Hyun-woo as Hyun Min-cheol, with Lee Min-young also in the main cast. The political thriller has been pulling strong engagement since its September premiere and has held steady week to week.
Previously on 'First Lady' (Episode 6)
Su-yeon stopped absorbing punches and started throwing them. She met the current First Lady and quietly handed over incriminating tapes, flipping public sentiment in her favor. Hae-rin’s real agenda finally surfaced and she got fired for it. Meanwhile, Min-cheol grew suspicious that Su-yeon had a hand in blocking his Special Act and began digging into a deal she made with the President five years back. The gut punch: Yang Hoon told Su-yeon that Hwa-jin is pregnant, which wrecked her.
What Episode 7 is setting up
With Min-cheol snooping into a buried presidential deal and Su-yeon now aware of Hwa-jin’s pregnancy, expect the personal and political mess to collide. The show has teased Su-yeon pushing back against betrayal and scandal; Episode 7 is where that pushback stops being subtle.
What do you think Su-yeon’s next move is? I have a guess, and it probably involves another power play that looks polite on the surface and lethal underneath.
