At first glance, Kim Kardashian and Kate Middleton may not seem to have much in common, with one being a reality star and the other the future Queen of England. However, both women are considered to be the main fashion icons of the current era, and what's more, they are almost the same age — and these facts alone provide a good reason to view the two stars alongside each other and compare them.

But before we go on into this discussion, we must note Kim is actually slightly older than Kate, as she is already 42 years old, while Kate is only 41.

Both women are currently shaping the world of fashion, each in her own way. Kim's groundbreaking fashion collections and many collaborations with the world's top designers make cutting-edge fashion relevant, while Kate keeps her style much more old-fashioned, which appeals to her millions of followers around the world.

In regards to their age and appearance, many people argue that Kate looks more elegant and appealing than Kim, whose struggles to chase fashion trends became infamous over the last decade. Moreover, fans think that Kate does a better job preserving her natural beauty, while the American reality star risks losing her natural looks because of the controversial things she has done to her body over the years.

'Exactly there's no way Kate doesn't treat herself to cosmetic procedures but she also keeps it to a minimum and that's the difference,' one fan said.

However, some people believe that Middleton's decision to avoid using artificial methods to enhance or maintain her beauty is not because of her own wishes, but because of the royal family's stance on the issue.
