Beyoncé's forty-second birthday performance on her Renaissance tour has been making headlines for several days now. First, the Grammy-winning singer made a splash when she announced that she would be spending her birthday, 4 September, at a concert with her fans, dressed entirely in silver. Then, Adele stated she would attend the event, but she 'ain't wearing silver' – and indeed, she didn't.

Now, the on-camera kiss between Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner is the talk of the town.

Though the two celebrities had long been rumoured to be together, there was no concrete evidence of their involvement before their public appearance at Beyoncé's birthday performance. Both had very different partners and dates in the past, so it seemed Chalamet and Jenner were worlds apart. Naturally, most fans dismissed the dating rumours. Now, people don’t know what to make of the kiss the two celebs shared on camera.

Fans Seem Rather Reluctant To Accept The News

As Timothée and Kylie's rumoured romance has now been confirmed, the news is spreading like wildfire on Maui. However, people all over the Internet seem reluctant to believe it.

In fact, many fans are questioning if this is just a PR stunt to generate publicity for both stars.

'I just think it's interesting that all of this happened on Beyoncé's birthday. I think this is their first public kiss. If this is a PR stunt, I wonder what for, and if it isn't, I just want Timothée & Kylie to be happy,' a YouTuber noticed.

Indeed, it is unclear what it was exactly that prompted the two celebrities to kiss in public. After all, the kiss they shared was rather provocative, and Timothée is generally regarded as a fairly reserved type of person.

The most pressing question is why Chalamet and Jenner didn't subtly hint at their relationship on social media and instead went for a very public display of affection. But then again, perhaps we should all be grateful it was just a kiss rather than an explicit sex video leaked on the Internet, which would have been the classic Kardashian way to go about it.
