Fans Already Figured Out What Only Murders Season 4 Will Be About
The next season is going to be a blast to watch.
Hulu lagged behind other streaming services for a long time, unable to compete with the likes of Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Max, which boasted bigger stars and larger budgets. That made Hulu's original shows pale in comparison to the productions of those industry giants. However, Hulu struck gold when it ordered Only Murders in the Building, a popular crime comedy starring Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez.
The show's first two seasons were outstanding in terms of writing and acting. While the recently concluded third season may have fallen slightly short of expectations compared to its predecessors, it was nonetheless a rewarding and engaging continuation of the true-crime saga.
Big Mystery Ahead
Yesterday, Hulu announced the renewal of the show for a fourth season, and fans are already speculating about the plot of the new installment. The third season ended on a significant cliffhanger when Charles' stunt double, Sazz Pataki, portrayed by Jane Lynch, was fatally shot by an unknown assailant who was evidently targeting Charles.
It's obvious that the next episode will center on this murder, but where will it be set?
Change of Scenery
Although Only Murders in the Building has become synonymous with New York, showcasing many of the city's iconic landmarks, it would appear that the upcoming season will take place in another American metropolis - Los Angeles.
Fans are convinced that the murder mystery will unfold in LA due to a simple fact - Sazz worked in LA before her return to New York, and it's evident that her killer is from California.
Moreover, Mabel is set to visit Tobert in LA in the forthcoming season, offering a plausible reason to move the entire crew. The New York setting seemed somewhat restrictive in Season 3, so perhaps the producers will attempt to inject some novelty by relocating Martin, Short, and Gomez to California in the next installment.
Filming for Only Murders in the Building Season 4 has not yet begun, so it seems that fans will have to wait until 2025 to reunite with their favorite characters.
