Everything Coming to Disney Plus This Week (September 29–October 5, 2025): New Shows, Big Movies, and Can’t-Miss Premieres
Disney Plus loads up September 29–October 5: Little Angel Seasons 1–6 lands September 30, joined by SuperKitties Season 3 and new arrivals The Balloonist and The Murky Stream—spanning toddler sing-alongs to moodier, grown-up fare.
Halloween season is basically here, and Disney+ is leaning into it with a week that swings from toddler sing-alongs to K-drama intrigue to a hot-air balloon crash on a chicken coop. Yes, really. Also: more Hulu-on-Disney+ crossover and some ESPN in the mix, because the bundle never sleeps.
The highlights
Little Angel drops a pile of content at once on Tuesday: Seasons 1 through 6 land the same day. If you have a toddler, you probably know the drill. It is the nursery-rhyme-and-songs machine that sneaks in letters, numbers, social skills, and other basic life lessons under a mountain of catchy tunes. Consider this your autoplay warning.
Over on the animated-animals-saving-the-day beat, SuperKitties returns with Season 3 on Wednesday. The squad is still Sparks, Ginny, Bitsy, and Bunny, and they still transform into SuperKitties whenever trouble inevitably shows up. Cute, bright, and relentlessly heroic. You know the vibe.
Friday brings an oddball movie that sounds like a festival logline: The Balloonist. The setup: a hot-air balloon pilot crashes onto Gaby's chicken coop roof, which detonates a family conflict and forces her to confront both the arrogant pilot and some buried history of her own. As meet-cutes go, that is... one way to do it.
If you are here for period drama, The Murky Stream is rolling out new episodes on Friday under the Hulu banner inside Disney+. Set in Joseon, it starts when the normally clear Gyeonggang River turns grim and ties together three lives: Siyul, who is carrying a secretive past; Choi Eun, an aspiring merchant; and Jung Chun, who aims to be an upright official. It is moody, political, and very watch-the-water metaphors.
Halloween extras are sprinkled throughout: Mickey & Minnie get a seasonal music special on Thursday with "Mickey & Minnie's Holiday Songs: Halloween." Meanwhile, Marvel's Spidey and his Amazing Friends serves up a Season 4 Halloween episode Friday with two segments: "Night of the Goblins" has Green Goblin clones menacing the holiday, and "Bat Attitude" finds Doc Ock hijacking the city's bats with one of her gadgets. Also sliding in on Friday: the 80s creeper classic Something Wicked This Way Comes.
Elsewhere, the live stuff keeps rolling. Dancing With the Stars Season 34 goes live Tuesday at 8/7c. College GameDay plants itself at 9 am ET on Saturday across ESPN, ESPNU, and ESPN+. And if you are tallying the bundle synergy at home, there are two Hulu Originals showing up inside Disney+ this week: Tempest premieres Wednesday, and The Murky Stream continues Friday. Yes, Hulu content inside Disney+. Again: the bundle never sleeps.
Rounding out the weekend: three seasons of Halloween Wars arrive Saturday, Kiff Season 2 drops a fresh Halloween episode Sunday, and the travel doc series Traveling with Snow Man (a Disney+ Original) also posts a new episode Sunday.
