With The Game Awards 2025 closing in, the hype machine is in overdrive—confirmed reveals are set, release-bound heavyweights are circling, and leak-fueled wildcards could crash the stage.

The Game Awards 2025 is almost here, which means it is time for the annual mix of real announcements, confident rumors, and the stuff we hope for even though we probably should not. Here is what is locked in for the show, what feels very likely, and what would be shocking if it actually happened. I will keep it quick and clear.

What is locked for The Game Awards 2025 (December 11)

  • Exodus — Archetype Entertainment is premiering a brand-new trailer during the show. This sci-fi action-adventure RPG is targeting 2026 and is set an absurd 40,000 years in the future. Yes, that is the pitch.
  • Neon Giant's new game — The team behind The Ascent (and the Cyber Heist add-on) is pulling back the curtain on a mystery project, teased as 'ludicrously ambitious.' They have been cagey on details, but the first look is set for the show.
  • Resident Evil: Requiem — Capcom is bringing a 'terrifying new look' during the broadcast. Expect gameplay to be front and center. For timing: the stream goes live Thursday, December 11 at 4:30pm PT / 7:30pm ET / 12:30am GMT.
  • A new Total War reveal — Creative Assembly is dropping the third piece of its 25th anniversary celebration. Earlier on December 4 they announced Total War: Medieval III and Total War: Warhammer III - Lords of the End Times. The third, still-untitled game will be unveiled at TGA.
  • Phantom Blade Zero — S-Games promised a 2025 release date reveal, and they are making good on it. The world premiere announcement is happening live during the show, with an in-depth look beforehand.

Strong bets and spicy rumors

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach on PC — The PC version quietly picked up an M (Mature 17+) rating from the ESRB for Windows, and the now-removed page even listed Sony Interactive Entertainment. That combo usually means an official PC port is close.

Control: Resonant — Remedy recently filed a trademark for 'Control: Resonant.' No confirmation yet, but if they are ready to talk, The Game Awards is exactly where they would do it. The Control universe is clearly expanding.

Diablo 4 expansion — The devs have been winking pretty hard that something is coming at TGA, and we are a year out from Vessel of Hatred. Feels like the right time for the next chapter.

"Everyone should be watching it. We are all gamers, we are gonna watch it."

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag remake — The Black Flag remake chatter has never really stopped over the last couple of years. Ubisoft has not confirmed a thing, but if they are going to finally show it, this stage makes sense. It has been 12 years since the original launch, if you are counting.

Pragmata — Capcom's sci-fi story about a human named Hugh and an android named Diana escaping the Cold Lunar Research Station is officially slated for 2026, and it was just rated 12+ in South Korea. Ratings boards do not move unless a build is in decent shape, so a fresh look at TGA would track.

Long shots that would break the room

Half-Life 3 — Most reporting says do not hold your breath (InsiderGaming's Mike Straw, among others, is not expecting it). I am not betting the rent, but if Valve ever wanted a nuclear crowd pop, this is the place.

Max Payne 1 & 2 remakes — Remedy and Rockstar announced in 2022 that both classics are being rebuilt as a single package. Fans think production is far along. If they are aiming for 2026, a 2025 trailer reveal would be logical.

Jurassic Park: Survival — This first-person adventure was revealed back in 2023 and then basically vanished. Recent industry chatter says an update could finally land at TGA 2025. About time.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 — Leaks put this at 'slim chance' territory. Directors Naoki Hamaguchi and Tetsuya Nomura have narrowed the subtitle down to two options and said the final title would be decided before year-end. Clock is ticking. The show is a convenient venue.

Silent Hill 1 remake — Bloober Team confirmed in June 2025 that they are developing a remake of the original Silent Hill, fresh off delivering their take on Silent Hill 2. If they want to plant a flag, this is the room to do it.

Forza Horizon 6 — Recently announced, no footage yet, penciled in for 2026. Even a teaser would do work here. Long-running fan chatter points to a Japan setting, which would explain all the 'best depiction of the Japanese streets' talk.

Fallout: New Vegas remaster — A Microsoft insider teased that Bethesda Game Studios is quietly working on a remaster of Obsidian's beloved spin-off. If true, a TGA reveal would be a crowd-pleaser.

GTA 6 — A third trailer would absolutely bulldoze the rest of the night. Do I expect Rockstar to do it here? No. Could they hijack the internet if they did? Obviously.

That is the board as it stands. What are you actually hoping shows up Thursday night, and what do you think is pure fantasy?
