Eminem’s controversies have a new contender: Kate Winslet just revealed on The Graham Norton Show that the rapper once made an eyebrow-raising request she’d never shared before, with Seth Meyers on the couch.

File this under celebrity stories I did not see coming: Kate Winslet just dropped a brand-new Eminem anecdote on The Graham Norton Show, and it is... specific.

Kate Winslet vs. Eminem, the grooming request no one asked for

On the Graham Norton couch with Seth Meyers and others, Winslet said she had a story she had never told before. Years ago, Eminem looked at the Oscar winner and asked if she would shave his backside. Yes, really. She did not say whether it was a straight-faced request or a joke, and honestly, we probably will never get clarity on that. Either way, she passed.

"Would you shave my butt?"

Winslet says she politely shut it down, making it clear she does not do personal grooming for other people. Meyers jumped in to keep the bit going, joking that when she turned Slim Shady down, he volunteered. A short clip of the exchange is floating around social media, including a post from @rosesaredawson on December 6, 2025.

Tom Hardy had his own awkward Eminem moment

Different vibe, same rapper. On the Whoo's House podcast, Tom Hardy looked back on the first time he met Eminem. Context: Eminem did the track 'Venom' for Hardy's Marvel movie. Hardy says he was ushered into Eminem's dressing room right before showtime to grab a quick photo, immediately felt like a nuisance, and got a deadpan response that basically said, not now. Hardy called himself a real jerk for the timing and bailed so the guy could go do his job. Not as wild as the Winslet story, but still peak backstage awkward.

What Winslet is up to now: Goodbye June and more

Winslet just pulled a triple threat with her directorial debut, Goodbye June, which premiered December 3 at Curzon Mayfair Cinema. She directed it, produced it, and stars in it. The cast also includes Helen Mirren and Toni Collette.

The movie is a Christmas-set family drama about grief, reconciliation, and love, centered on siblings gathering around their dying mother one last time. The script is by Winslet's son, Joe Anders, and while the plot is fictional, he says it comes from the emotional place of saying goodbye to his grandmother, after the family lost Winslet's mother to cancer. Winslet told reporters she wanted to make something that felt authentic and real, and that the story is less about death than it is about the life that remains for those left behind. She and Anders also did a very sweet mother-son red carpet moment that E! News captured on December 4.

On the franchise front, Winslet recently popped back up as Ronal in Avatar: Fire and Ash, and next she will lend her voice as the narrator of the documentary Finding Harmony: A King's Vision.
