Since its premiere in 2020, fans have swooned over the highly rated regency era drama, the diverse (and attractive cast), and the enthralling love stories that play out during the social season in London.

With Season 3 set for release sometime in 2023, and a confirmed Season 4, Bridgteron fans certainly have a lot to look forward to. But, along with excited speculations about what is in the works, fans have also begun to develop concerns for Season 4 as Netflix has revealed that Seasons 3 and 4 will deviate from the order of the Julia Quinn novels.

Fans are worried that the focus of Season 4 could potentially be a big mistake on Bridgerton's part and lead to great disappointment. Season 3 has skipped ahead to follow the 4th book, which points to Season 4 following the 5th book, which focuses on Eloise and Phillip.

Why would this be a mistake?

Redditor GCooperE explained the issue with Elosie being the center of the season: 'If her endgame is the life that Phillip seems to offer now; motherhood, domesticity, respectability, that would be an insult to the character we're watching'

Eloise's story is set to focus on her marriage to Phillip along with his two unruly children who need to be cared for.

Not only do fans feel this would be way too soon for her to marry, but would also go against so much that her liberal, rebellious character believes in, with Swimming_War4361 saying that it would be 'disheartening to see her settle and have her fire die out.'

It's not that fans don't want to see an Eloise-focused season, it's the fact that Season 4 is not the right time for it. Her storyline is currently open-ended, and her character has so much more to still experience and evolve, Season 4 would be too soon to focus on her.

Producer Shonda Rhimes has confirmed that each Bridgerton sibling will have their own season, as each book follows a different Bridgteron's love story.

Eloise will inevitably have her season, and fans are looking forward to it, but are avidly against her season being Season 4, as it would rob her of character development and growth and not give her enough time to figure out what she wants in life.

And whilst the books see her marrying Phillip, the series may choose to deviate from that storyline depending on where her character's story goes, but that requires time that she may not have.

Very little is certain about Season 4 and fans are hoping that Season 3 may give some clues as to what is to come in the future for Eloise, but they will just have to wait and see…
