Elizabeth Olsen Wants House of M to Ignite the Ultimate X-Men and Avengers Crossover

Elizabeth Olsen is ready to rewrite reality, eyeing a Scarlet Witch comeback built around House of M — and pushing for an X-Men–Avengers crossover to make it happen.
If Elizabeth Olsen gets her way, Wanda is going to break the MCU again — and this time she wants the X-Men in the blast radius.
Olsen wants 'House of M' — with Avengers and X-Men in the same movie
At LA Comic Con, the 36-year-old two-time Golden Globe nominee (and yes, Godzilla star) talked about the comic arcs she still wants to tackle as Scarlet Witch. Top of the list: House of M, the 2005 Marvel Comics event where Wanda basically remixes reality.
'I think House of M is just the coolest. I just think it could be so fun to deal with X-Men and Avengers and "No more mutants." It would be fun.'
A fan account, Elizabeth Olsen Nation (@LizzieNationn), posted a clip of the moment on September 28, 2025 with the caption 'No more mutants.' Inside baseball note: hearing an MCU lead openly say 'X-Men and Avengers in the same movie' would have been a licensing fever dream a few years ago. Now, it is very much on the table.
Quick refresher: what is House of M?
- It is an eight-issue series from 2005 written by Brian Michael Bendis and drawn by Olivier Coipel.
- Wanda Maximoff rewrites reality into a world where mutants are the majority and the power structure looks very different.
- The Avengers and the X-Men push back, and Wanda flips the table again with the line 'No more mutants,' leaving most mutants depowered.
Could Marvel actually do this?
There is no House of M movie on Marvel Studios' slate right now. But timing-wise, the runway is there. With Avengers: Secret Wars planted in 2027, Marvel has been teeing up what Kevin Feige has called the Mutant Saga after Phase Six. If you were ever going to stage an Avengers/X-Men collision built around Wanda, that post-Secret Wars window is the spot.
For the record, Olsen was not announcing anything — she was saying what she wants. Still, hearing the actor most associated with WandaVision-era chaos magic pitch the exact storyline fans have been eyeing since 2021 is... encouraging.
