Debuting Feb. 13 just in time for Valentine’s Day, Elizabeth Olsen’s fantasy rom-com Eternity has overtaken Brad Pitt’s F1 to claim the No. 1 spot on Apple TV’s Top 10, with Callum Turner and Miles Teller co-starring.

Elizabeth Olsen just turboed past Brad Pitt on the streaming charts. Her new fantasy rom-com, Eternity, landed right before Valentine's Day and immediately bumped Pitt's racing juggernaut F1 out of the top slot. Timing, concept, star power — all of it clicked.

The quick climb

Eternity hit Apple TV on February 13 and quickly claimed the service's #1 movie spot. As of February 17, it's still parked at the top. The rankings come via FlixPatrol, which tracks platform charts around the world. Their numbers aren't exhaustive, but they paint a useful picture of what people are actually watching.

What is Eternity?

High-concept love story, very clean hook: Joan (Olsen) dies and has to pick who she's spending the afterlife with — her husband of 65 years, Larry (Miles Teller), or her first husband, Luke (Callum Turner). It's sweet, a little metaphysical, and built for date night.

The cast also brings in John Early as Ryan, Olga Merediz as Karen, and Da'Vine Joy Randolph as Anna. David Freyne directed and co-wrote the script with Pat Cunnane.

Festival run, release, reception

Eternity premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2025, then opened in theaters on November 26, 2025. On Rotten Tomatoes, it's holding a 76% approval rating from 187 reviews. One pull-quote that sums up the general vibe:

"Eternity, which marks Irish director David Freyne's first American production, is a sweet and amusing yet ultimately flimsy exploration of long-lost love and meaningful companionship." — Sonia Rao, The Washington Post

About that dethroned #1

F1, directed by Joseph Kosinski, first landed on Apple TV in December and hung onto the top spot for quite a while. Beyond Pitt, the cast stacks deep: Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, and Kim Bodnia among them.

Bottom line: a glossy afterlife rom-com sneaking in days before Valentine's Day just outpaced a loud, crowd-pleasing racing movie. Smart counterprogramming wins again.
