Early "I Do's": Millie Bobby Brown & 7 Other Teen Celebrity Engagements

In April 2023, fans learned that Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown and her partner Jake Bongiovi, son of Jon Bon Jovi, joined the ranks of celebrity couples who got engaged at a young age. The two started dating in 2021, and now Brown is 19 and Bongiovi turned 21 this year, making their engagement seem rather early to some people.

But these two are far from the only celebrity couple who got engaged early in their lives — here are seven more famous people who were ready to tie the knot while still in their teens.

7. LeAnn Rimes

Actress and country singer LeAnn Rimes met dancer Dean Sheremet in 2001, and the couple became engaged a month later. Rimes was only 19 at the time, and Sheremet was 21. They spent eight years together, eventually divorcing in 2009, but this still counts as a long-lasting relationship and a good indication that early marriages don't always fail.

Before Sudeikis and Stiles, Olivia Wilde was married to Tao Ruspoli, an Italian filmmaker of aristocratic descent. In 2003, when she was 19 and he was 27, the stars married secretly in an abandoned school bus (what a story!). Their marriage lasted until 2011.

A member of the Culkin acting family, Macaulay and actress Rachel Miner, of Bully and Penny Dreadful fame, married in 1998 when they were both just 18 years old. Sadly, the stars' marriage did not last long, as they separated in 2000 and were officially divorced two years later.

In 1981, 18-year-old Demi married 30-year-old musician Freddy Moore, whose last name she still uses as her stage name. They separated two years later, and their divorce was finalized in 1985.

Drew is known for several teenage engagements. In 1991, the 16-year-old actress was engaged to actor Leland Hayward III, but they broke up just a few months later. In the next two years, the young star was engaged to Jamie Walters, but that engagement was also called off in 1993. In 1994, the actress married Jeremy Thomas, but they separated after less than two months.
