DWTS Fans Want Harry Voted Out After 'Uncomfortable' Performance
Either Harry sorts out his act, or he gets eliminated.
Summary
- Harry and Rylee have been one of the weakest couples of Season 32 so far
- Their last performance was also a failure
- However, it was Harry's moves that enraged fans, who now want him eliminated
Now in its thirty-second season, Dancing with the Stars continues to captivate us with high-energy performances as celebrities from the realms of film, television, social media, fashion, and sports vie to be crowned the best dancer of the year. But while some, like Xochitl Gomez, Jason Mraz, and Charity Lawson, are projected to win this season, other contestants are faltering as their performances don’t always impress the judges and voting viewers.
In last week's episode, Too Hot and Handle's Harry Jowsey and rookie professional dancer Rylee Arnold once again received one of the lowest scores. Indeed, Harry admitted from the start that he was not a skilled dancer, and Rylee lacks extensive experience as a choreographer. However, this doesn't excuse the awkwardness of their latest dance, which was so uncomfortable to watch that many fans now just want Harry gone ASAP.
Week 5 Performances
For this week's theme, Harry and Rylee chose Contemporary, dancing to the single Keep Your Head Up from singer-songwriter Andy Grammer's self-titled debut album.
The dance style the couple selected is not easy to pull off, and the judges generally tend to rate it higher than other styles demanding complex moves. And yet, Harry and Rylee somehow managed to get the lowest score of all the contestants.
What Was The Problem?
Perhaps the performance would have been less atrocious if the song had been slowed down and both had managed to keep the tempo. Instead, what we saw was Harry barely even moving to the beat while Rylee danced around him, making far more steps than him. There was also the dubious spectacle of Harry occasionally lifting his partner awkwardly off the floor.
It should also be mentioned that the couple only remains popular because people see them as charming, and there are persistent rumors that they are romantically involved with each other, as evidenced by social media discussions about the current season of DWTS. And when they go and put on a truly pathetic performance, that leads to more fan frustration than with other couples.
Fans Want Harry Gone
The biggest problem with the latest dance from them was Harry's creepy moves. While on-screen romances and behind-the-scenes dramas can keep people entertained, a certain amount of decorum is to be maintained in such cases.
Meanwhile, in one of his dance moves, Harry literally laid on top of Rylee, and that in a TV-PG-rated show. The overly sexualized move was designed as a clumsy hint to fans that there's something more going on between the two. But seeing how DWST is a family show, it didn't go well with the audiences at all and, in fact, caused a bit of a backlash.
So now it looks like Harry is now at an even greater risk of getting booted in the upcoming episode that will be released just before Halloween on October 31.
