Why this episode matters

Walking on Thin Ice has quietly turned into one of KBS2's buzziest weekend dramas, led by Lee Young-ae (Jewel in the Palace), Kim Young-kwang (Call It Love), and Park Yong-woo (Blood Rain). Heading into its final week, it was averaging a 3.7% nationwide rating, which is solid for a new thriller with this much plot to juggle. And Episode 11 is where all that juggling either pays off or hits the floor.

Previously, on Episode 10 (the very short version)

Revenge got messy fast. Jun-hyun abducted Su-a over his brother's death. Gyeong-do tracked Su-a using hospital CCTV, while Kyeong stepped in to stop Do-jin from destroying Eun-soo's hidden stash of drugs. Eun-soo met Hwi-rim, who tried to barter info about someone named James. Su-a attempted to send her location but Jun-hyun caught her. Gyeong-do and Kyeong still managed to rescue her.

At the station, Eun-soo learned Su-a had unknowingly delivered the very drugs Eun-soo had packaged. Earlier, Kyeong had hired Su-a, not realizing what she had been dragged into. Meanwhile, Tae-gu revealed he had been monitoring Su-a and threatened to wreck Eun-soo's life. That pushed Eun-soo and Kyeong to reconcile and team up against him.

Then the plan went sideways. Tae-gu bragged he had already swiped the drugs from Hwi-rim. He fired at Kyeong. In a split-second move, Eun-soo hit Tae-gu with a car. Roll credits.

To untangle the character soup a bit: Gyeong-do and Kyeong are two different people. Gyeong-do handled the tracking and rescue; Kyeong is the one entangled with Eun-soo, Su-a, and that botched sting.

What Episode 11 is setting up

This one is all aftermath. Is Tae-gu alive? Is Kyeong? Does Eun-soo get charged after the vehicular intervention? The narrative has been steadily burning through secrets, and with one episode left after this, the show is clearly clearing the decks for the final blowback.

Bottom line: Episode 11 hits KBS2 on Saturday, October 25 at 9:20 PM KST, with streaming on Wavve in Korea and on Viki, Kocowa, and Prime Video in select regions shortly after. Brace yourself.
