Peacemaker just wrapped a thunderous second season, with James Gunn’s pedal-to-the-metal soundtrack turbocharging John Cena’s brash yet endearing hero into his loudest, wildest, and most heartfelt run yet.

James Gunn loves a needle drop like some folks love oxygen, and Peacemaker season 2 leans harder into that than ever. The show still whiplashes between dumb, bloody jokes and sincere heartbreak, and the soundtrack is the glue. Also, heads up: season 2 spends a lot of time hopscotching through an alternate dimension nicknamed DC2 via a device called the Quantum Unfolding Chamber (QUC). If any of that sounds a little bonkers, that’s because it is. Below is every track used this season, episode by episode, with the moment it kicks in so you can relive the chaos (or build an obscenely good playlist).

  • Episode 1 - The Ties That Grind

"Oh Lord" by Foxy Shazam — 4:10 — Season 2’s theme over the opening credits dance sequence. Big, ridiculous, perfect tone-setter.

"Don’t Ever Leave Me" by Hanoi Rocks — 4:05 — Six months later, Adebayo is driving while the show casually mentions that Chris has discovered the DC2 dimension inside the QUC. A closing gag hints DC2 might have its own mirror version of the band, literally called Hanoi Roxx.

"Guestlist" by Hardcore Superstar — 4:02 — After a blow-up with Harcourt, Chris goes home and tries to erase his brain with substances and a messy group hookup.

"Three Way Ride" by Wildstreet — 3:44 — Economos, on the phone with Rick Flag Sr., shows up at Chris’s place and gets an eyeful of the chaos through the window.

"Dreamer" by Foxy Shazam — 2:50 — Blackout-drunk, Peacemaker stumbles into the QUC and tumbles into DC2, drifting through the house that belongs to his 'dad' and 'brother'.

"Blue Jeans" by Silvertide — 3:10 — Harcourt, hanging on by a thread, walks into biker bar Gabriel’s Horn and proceeds to unload on everyone in reach.

"Outrage" by Sister Sin — 3:26 — Chris accidentally kills DC2 Peacemaker inside the QUC. Smash to credits on this track.

  • Episode 2 - A Man Is Only as Good as His Bird

"Evil Thoughts" by Foxy Shazam — 4:17 — Chris and Vigilante quietly (and gruesomely) deal with DC2 Peacemaker’s body, ending with disposal via a kyphotic (read: hunched) alien’s incinerator. Yes, really.

"Reapercussion" by The Cruel Intentions — 2:43 — Sasha Bordeaux tells Fleury to sit on Chris, but ARGUS overrides and mobilizes a colorful lineup of operatives to take him down.

"Dirty Money" by Ida Maria — 2:57 — Eagly wipes the floor with Fleury’s team, then struts in slo-mo. Cut to a rooftop hangout at Harcourt’s place with the '11th Street Kids' (the season 1 survivors).

"This Time It’s Love" by D’Molls — 4:46 — Soundtracks a surprisingly honest conversation between Chris and Harcourt at the party.

"We Don’t Need a Cure" by Hardcore Superstar — 4:16 — Drunk and spiraling, Chris uses his dead doppelganger’s old phone to reenter DC2 and text the alternate Harcourt. Their messages roll under the credits.

  • Episode 3 - Another Rick Up My Sleeve

"Break It Out" by Ammotrack — 3:20 — Chris discovers he owns a slick Peace-cycle in DC2, rides through cheering crowds, and women literally flash him. He sums the place up with:

    "Best. Dimension. Ever."

"Pour Some Sugar on Me" by Emm Gryner — 5:13 — Plays while Chris and DC2 Harcourt share an elevator.

"Dreamer" by Ozzy Osbourne — 4:44 — Stroll music for Chris and DC2 Harcourt’s neighborhood walk.

"Animal" by Shining — 3:32 — Chris celebrates his 'hero' status in DC2 with his brother while, back in the main universe, the so-called Eagly Kill Squad closes in on his house.

  • Episode 4 - Need I Say Door

"Please Don’t Leave Me" by Pretty Maids — 5:15 — On the car radio as Adebayo drives Chris to the new QUC location.

"A Shot At Redemption" by H.E.A.T — 3:51 — Red St. Wild strips down and chants around a fire to commune with the 'Prime Eagle' (Eagly), while the rest of the crew converges on an Evergreen park. Sets up an emotional talk between Chris and Harcourt.

  • Episode 5 - Back to the Suture

"Ain’t That Kinda Girl" by DIEMONDS — 2:57 — After Harcourt subdues Chris to keep him alive, ARGUS binds him while Adebayo awkwardly meets her first 'client' who thinks she’s a prostitute.

"November Rain" by Guns 'n' Roses — 8:56 — Chris seals the portal and washes blood off his face in DC2 as the epic swells. Adebayo reads Chris’s farewell letter to the 11th Street Kids.

"Take Me For A Ride" by Bad City — 3:43 — The team secures a dimension-hopping suitcase and relocates to figure out how to bring Chris home.

  • Episode 6 - Ignorance Is Chris

"Little Drops of Heaven" by Pretty Maids — 4:37 — Opens on Chris and the 'Top Trio' staging a bizarre group photo at a restaurant.

"Forever & One (Neverland)" by Helloween — 3:54 — After Chris wakes up beside DC2 Harcourt, we cross-cut to Keith driving our Harcourt to ARGUS. He insists that in DC2, The Beatles are fronted by Mick Jagger. The song plays through a shower, Vigilante spying on his own double, and more.

"Eagly" by Clint Mansell — 5:05 — Quietly underscores a vulnerable conversation between Chris and Harcourt about, well, Eagly and everything else.

"Presence of Mind" by Dynazty — 4:16 — Adebayo flees a mob of racists in DC2. The track carries us into credits.

  • Episode 7 - Like a Keith in the Night

"Judomaster" by Clint Mansell and Kevin Kiner — 5:24 — Judomaster electrocutes nazis in a pool. Bodies float. Lovely.

"Still Pretending" by First Signal — 4:27 — Chris breaks out of ARGUS custody on Earth-X and escapes with Harcourt.

"We Can Never Die" by Vains of Jenna — 3:38 — The 11th Street Kids race off Earth-X and land back in the main DCU, where ARGUS immediately blocks their path.

"Holy Cow" by Clint Mansell and Kevin Kiner — 3:52 — Chris is arrested by ARGUS.

"Goretex Weather Report" by Shining — 5:00 — The whole crew gets hauled in; roll into credits.

"Death From Above" by Diemonsterdie — 5:04 — Also featured this episode.

  • Episode 8 - Full Nelson

"Someone Special" by Hardcore Superstar — 4:24 — Chris and Harcourt debrief at a bar about Adebayo and everything else. Harcourt sketches Chris, then they take shots with Maeve, the server.

"Fucking My Heart in the Ass" by Steel Panther — 4:14 — Rick Flag Sr.’s crew watches a QUC monitor as agents in another dimension get mauled by zombie-like things. Appetite-killer of a scene, set to exactly the band you think it would be.

"Only My Heart Talkin’" by Alice Cooper — 4:47 — Over diner coffee, Harcourt tells Sasha Bordeaux the truth: the newly discovered planet Salvation is being designed as a one-way, forever prison for metahumans. She’s not okay with it.

"We’re Not Gonna Take It (2016 Acoustic Recording)" by Dee Snider — 3:52 — Harcourt brings Adebayo and Sasha together to push back on Rick Flag Sr.’s black-site-in-space plan.

"To Get Back To You" by Nelson — 5:51 — Chris and Harcourt hit a Nelson concert, share a kiss, and then she abruptly bails. Ouch.

"Oh Lord" by Foxy Shazam — 4:10 — Chris dances alone as the team maps out Operation Checkmate. Foxy Shazam performs live on a boat, and the song carries through the concert.

"Reckoning" by The Cruel Intentions — 3:08 — On the planet Salvation, Chris struggles to his feet as monsters howl somewhere out there.

Season 2’s playlist isn’t just bangers-for-bangers’ sake. The songs needle right into Chris Smith’s ego, guilt, and delusions, even when the show is pelting you with multiverse weirdness like hunchbacked alien furnaces, a Beatles-with-Mick-Jagger timeline, and a prison planet named Salvation. It’s messy, loud, and somehow heartfelt. So, did this season’s soundtrack top season 1 for you, or are you still loyal to Wig Wam supremacy?

Peacemaker season 2 is streaming on HBO Max. The official soundtrack is on Spotify.
