In an exclusive chat, Zach Aguilar teases a darker, higher-stakes turn for the Infinity Castle sequels—packed with brutal showdowns, bold character swings, and a reveal fans aren’t ready for.

If you thought Tanjiro vs Giyu was as big as this arc gets, the guy who plays Tanjiro in English says: not even close. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle still has plenty of fireworks queued up — and yes, he would know.

Spoilers ahead for Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle.

Zach Aguilar says the best is still coming

Asked by GamesRadar+ if the next Infinity Castle movies can hit the same intensity as Tanjiro and Giyu's throwdown, Tanjiro's English dub actor Zach Aguilar — who also reads the manga — kept it simple and very confident:

"I think there's a lot of awesome fights to come."

"Without spoiling anything, I will say there are some really exciting things coming up. It's gonna blow some minds, for sure. You gotta go watch every movie, because, trust me, they're all gonna have moments like that."

He is not exactly wrong. Even without getting deep into manga panels, just looking at who is still on the board — the remaining Upper Ranks and the surviving Hashira — it is obvious there are multiple headline bouts left inside that shifting funhouse of the Infinity Castle.

Where the first movie left everyone

Quick refresher, since the first Infinity Castle installment moved fast and broke a lot of things:

  • Akaza is down — defeated by Tanjiro.
  • Zenitsu leveled up in a big way, unleashing a lightning-quick duel with Kaigaku.
  • On the harsher end, Insect Hashira Shinobu did not make it past Upper Rank Two, Doma.

About those release dates… still waiting

Infinity Castle smashed box office records on arrival — it even climbed to become the highest-grossing anime of all time — but that momentum has not translated into concrete dates for the next chapters. Crunchyroll CEO Rahul Parini told The Hollywood Reporter that the plan is a trilogy, and while Aniplex and Ufotable are on board, nobody has locked in theatrical dates yet. The goal, per Parini, is to move fast because the demand is clearly there.

Bottom line: the sequel dates are a mystery, the hype is not, and if Aguilar is right, the remaining movies are going to keep dropping jaw-on-the-floor moments. Until then, sharpen the blades and keep the calendar open.
