Dexter: Resurrection is officially moving forward, and Krysten Ritter says she’s ready to resurrect Lady Vengeance for Season 2 — despite Mia La Pierre’s infamous demise in Season 1.

Krysten Ritter wants back in. The actress says she would happily return as Lady Vengeance in Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, which is extra fun because her character is, you know, dead. And yes, Season 2 is officially happening.

Ritter is game to suit up again

Ritter told ScreenRant she is fully open to coming back as Mia La Pierre, the vigilante fans met as Lady Vengeance. She loved playing the role and, maybe more importantly, loved the set she walked onto. A lot of the team behind Dexter: Resurrection crossed over from her Jessica Jones days, including executive producer Scott Reynolds, who she says wrote the part with her in mind. That is a neat behind-the-scenes wrinkle that explains why the character fit her so well.

"Yes, I would definitely be open to it. I definitely loved playing that character. I also loved my experience on the show."

She also singled out how easy the vibe was: familiar crew, a cast she clearly enjoyed sparring with, and the kind of juicy role that does not hit her inbox every day.

But didn’t Lady Vengeance die?

She did. Mia La Pierre met a bad end in a prison cell thanks to a scheme pulled by Leon Prater, who staged her death as a suicide to keep a secret serial killer club buried. Clean, brutal, done. At least on paper.

Dexter rules apply, which means death is flexible

  • Flashbacks: The franchise loves filling in gaps with pre-mortem moments.
  • Hallucinations: The show has a long history of letting the dead linger in characters heads.
  • Other narrative tricks: If they want Lady Vengeance back, the toolbox is packed.

Why the timing makes sense

Showtime has officially greenlit Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, and the plan is to widen the universe even more. Expect more morally gray players and tighter connections to earlier entries, including Dexter: New Blood and Dexter: Original Sin. If they are building bridges, bringing back a fan-favorite antagonist in some form is very on brand.

Bottom line: Ritter sounds ready, the creative team already knows how to write to her strengths, and this franchise never lets a little thing like death get in the way of a good character beat.
