One of television's biggest producers and Hollywood's rising star have publicly declared their displeasure with each other.

Ever since the Wednesday series appeared on Netflix late last year, Jenna Ortega has been a force to be reckoned with as the popular show has propelled the 20-year-old into the upper echelon of Hollywood. And Ortega hasn't lost that momentum, signing up for many interesting projects and maintaining her social media presence to keep fans loving her.

However, despite the image as a sweet teenager, it seems that some people on the set of the series weren't too pleased to work with her.

Legendary producer Stephen DeKnight, who has experience working on dozens of series including Daredevil and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, recently accused Ortega of being entitled and toxic on the set of Wednesday, saying that working with her was a complete nightmare for him and his team.

He said Ortega often changed her lines without asking the scriptwriters, which really delayed production. While he admitted that her age can certainly be used as an excuse for her actions, she should still treat her colleagues with respect.

Although it looks like Ortega is using her status for self-serving purposes, her own version of the whole drama sounds a little more realistic. Ortega admitted that she behaved rather badly on set, explaining that she started to worry so much about her character that the screenwriters' silly ideas about love triangles and the like started to really hurt her. So, she started changing her own lines as no one listened to her.

And it seems that fans are backing Ortega in this argument, as people claim that the love triangle plot in the first season was a bit silly and uncharacteristic of Wednesday Adams.

Since the show has been renewed for a second season, it seems that Ortega really isn't to blame, and the fact that she will co-produce the upcoming installment proves that Netflix is doing all they can to keep their rising star happy. People believe that both sides should settle their differences privately, away from public attention.
