Celebrity Traitors: Tonight’s Airtime and Exactly When the Next Episode Drops

Fingerless gloves on. The bruising showdown starts now.
Sharpen your knives (figuratively). The BBC has rolled out a celebrity edition of its backstabbiest reality game, and it kicks off tonight. 'Celebrity Traitors' drops 19 famous faces into the Scottish Highlands, hands Claudia Winkleman the keys to the castle, and lets the social carnage begin. Claudia picks who will secretly be Traitors, who will remain Faithful, and then the nightly 'murders' start stacking up. Here is how it all airs and when to watch.
When and where to watch
The series launches Wednesday 8 October on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 9pm. New episodes are set for the same 9pm slot on the nights they air, and each installment will land on iPlayer after its BBC One broadcast.
How many episodes?
There are nine episodes in total. The premiere is extra-sized at around 70 minutes, so expect a lot of Highland drama right out of the gate.
The schedule (UK time)
Yes, the pattern is a little quirky: it plays out across Wednesdays and Thursdays through October, with the finale date still under wraps. Here is the plan as it stands:
- Episode 1 - Wednesday 8 October, 9pm
- Episode 2 - Thursday 9 October, 9pm
- Episode 3 - Wednesday 15 October, 9pm
- Episode 4 - Thursday 16 October, 9pm
- Episode 5 - Wednesday 22 October, 9pm
- Episode 6 - Thursday 23 October, 9pm
- Episode 7 - Wednesday 29 October, 9pm
- Episode 8 - Thursday 30 October, 9pm
- Episode 9 - TBC
What to expect
It is the same deliciously cruel setup you know: Claudia quietly taps a few celebs as Traitors, everyone else plays as Faithful, and the nightly 'murders' and group banishments push paranoia through the roof. With the Highlands as the backdrop and a supersized premiere, the show is clearly going for maximum suspense right away. If you are catching up after broadcast, episodes will be waiting for you on iPlayer.
