What it’s about (minus the marketing fluff)

DiCaprio plays Bob, a once-radical firebrand who’s burned out and living off the grid with his daughter, Willa. He’s paranoid, he’s perpetually stoned, and he’s doing his best to stay invisible. Then the past kicks the door back in: an old enemy reappears, Willa disappears, and Bob has to pull himself together fast. The hunt turns into a messy, darkly funny chase where both father and daughter collide with the fallout from the lives they’ve lived. It’s chaotic in that very PTA way, but it moves like a thriller.

What’s next for DiCaprio

He’s currently attached to two big ones: Michael Mann’s long-awaited Heat 2 with Christian Bale, and Martin Scorsese’s adaptation of Peter Cameron’s novel What Happens at Night alongside Jennifer Lawrence. Both are in pre-production, and neither has a release date yet. Translation: don’t hold your breath, but do keep them on your radar.
