Can It Get Any Worse Than This? Tom Sandoval Dumped Ariana On Valentine's Day

A major scandal erupted on Vanderpump Rules earlier this year when one of the reality show's most popular cast members, Tom Sandoval, was caught cheating with his younger co-star, Raquel Leviss, behind the back of his girlfriend of ten years, Ariana Madix.

Fans were quick to accuse the star of dishonorable behavior and unconditionally support Ariana, but it looks like Tom himself has a different stance on the matter, explaining that his breakup with Ariana was a long time coming.

Tom recently appeared on Howie Mandel's podcast and tried to clear his name — but only made things worse for himself.

While describing his relationship with Ariana right before the split, Tom revealed that he had been trying to dump his girlfriend a while before he started dating Raquel, noting that he broke the disappointing news to her on Valentine's Day.

Fans were immediately appalled by this, saying that Tom could have explained himself to Ariana earlier than on that important date.

However, this new piece of information shared by Sandoval certainly suggests that the scandal wasn't that big of a deal for Ariana when it first started, as Tom claims that he had been talking about breaking up with her for quite some time.

'We didn't tell anybody, but she knew. She was trying to, like, convince me not to be broken up [...] but that was not the case,' Tom told Howie.

But even if it's true, fans are still not ready to forgive Tom, arguing that Ariana should have heard about his affair with Raquel from him and not from other sources.

Even though Sandoval is now trying to redeem himself, people are not having it at all and urge Bravo and Lisa Vanderpump to fire him from the show, while keeping Ariana in the mix.

It looks like Tom Sandoval will be on everyone's minds for some more time, as Ariana is sure to clarify his recent statements and give a second opinion on the situation that led to their split.
