Calling All Yellowstone Fans: Joe Pickett Season 2 is Out, Here's How to Watch It
Paramount+'s Joe Pickett is sure to be a treat for all neo-Western fans.
The neo-Western genre has been on the rise lately, with millions of viewers enjoying projects like Yellowstone and its spin-offs. There is certainly something addictive about the stories of characters going through the clash of traditional values in the face of modern life. If you are a fan of the genre, we have a perfect suggestion for your must-watch list.
Paramount's Joe Pickett, based on the eponymous book series by C. J. Box, is a classic neo-Western with elements of crime drama. It focuses on the life and work of game warden Joe Pickett and his family as they move to the small town of Saddlestring, Wyoming, on the edge of the Bighorn National Forest.
In the first season, released in December 2021, the warden, played by Michael Dorman, investigates the killing of a local poacher. Viewers found the story compelling, especially praising the Joe Pickett character as relatable and honorable.
The show premiered on Spectrum Originals and then moved to Paramount+, where it garnered enough ratings to be renewed for a second season. Although the news of the renewal came in February 2022, it took one and a half years for Season 2 to be produced. The first two episodes of the new chapter finally aired on June 4, and the third one was out on June 11.
Each new episode will be released every Sunday exclusively on Paramount+. Joe Pickett Season 2 will have 10 episodes, just like its predecessor, with the finale airing on July 30, 2023.
The new season's trailer shows that the stakes are about to be raised for Joe Pickett with not one, but a series of murders taking place in the mountains. In his hunt for the serial killer, Joe will face off against the radical anti-hunting movement, uncover some chilling secrets of the mountains, confront his own dark past, and fight for his life.
Looks fascinating? That's because it is! And the best part is that C. J. Box's book series consists of 23 novels and counting, so Paramount's Joe Pickett has plenty of source material to explore.
