For fans of Call the Midwife, this week brought panic — reports out of the UK claimed the long-running series was ending after Season 15. Given how often beloved shows get axed without warning, people braced for the worst.

But now the BBC has stepped in to shut those rumors down.

In a post on X, the network said:

"In case you've heard any reports to the contrary this morning… The BBC would like to reassure fans that Call The Midwife will remain at the heart of the BBC for years to come. As previously announced, there are two Christmas specials, a new series, a film and prequel series, before a sixteenth series in due course. Call the Midwife isn't going anywhere!"

So no — the show is not ending anytime soon. In fact, it's expanding.

So if you saw the rumors and assumed this was the end, don't worry — the BBC just confirmed there's a lot more to come.
