Would you be sad to see them go?

Bridgerton is definitely a unique show in that each new season focuses on a new love story of a new Bridgerton sibling. While this helps to maintain the novelty of showing different kinds of relationships being built from scratch over and over again, it also poses certain difficulties for the creators.

One such issue is a bloated cast and the need to say goodbye to some original characters. New stories bring new characters and new plotlines that may not have any use for the old characters.

We've already seen the main couple of Season 1, Simon and Daphne Basset, disappear into oblivion. In addition, the actresses of Edwina Sharma and Marina Crane both confirmed that they would not appear in Season 3. And now, fans are worried that two more beloved characters might have their arcs wrapped up in the upcoming episodes.

'Do you think Will and Alice will continue to be on the show after Season 3?' a fan asked on Reddit recently. 'I do wonder if they will continue to find ways to integrate them into the story.'

The Will and Alice Mondrich story

Boxer Will Mondrich (Martins Imhangbe) was introduced in Season 1 as Simon Basset's sparring partner and friend. He was Simon's second in the duel with Anthony. However, he broke out of Simon's arc when he entered into a conspiracy with Lord Featherington and deliberately lost one of his fights in order to cut the winnings.

Though questionable, his actions were explained by Will's love for his wife Alice (Emma Naomi) and their children, and the need to provide for them.

With the money from the deal, Will opened a gentlemen's club in Season 2. There he saw Jack Featherington trying to defraud Colin Bridgerton and warned the latter. When Jack's scheme was revealed, Colin brought a crowd of new gentlemen of the ton to Will's club in gratitude.

Fans would be sad to see Will and Alice go

Though they're only side characters, Will and Alice have probably the healthiest relationship on the show. Alice supports her husband's every move, even the dubious ones, and gives him good advice.

They both represent the 'downstairs' of the Bridgerverse, helping to show the underbelly of Regency London society. As a soldier's son, Will is climbing the strict social hierarchy, making many viewers root for him and excited about his storyline in Season 3.

But will the writers find enough screen time for Will and Alice beyond the upcoming season? That's a big question.
