Bridgerton Fans' Wishes: Top 5 Things People Want to See Happening in Season 3
The third season will be a waste of time if it doesn't include these five.
Since it's been two years since Season 2 of Bridgerton, fans of the show have many expectations for the third installment. These five may be the biggest of them all.
Repercussions for Eloise
After their falling-out at the end of Season 2, the development of Penelope and Eloise's relationship is perhaps the most anticipated storyline on Bridgerton right now. But there's something more important that needs to happen to make the story compelling. Eloise has to face the consequences of what Lady Whistledown wrote about her, otherwise there is no point in her holding a grudge against Penelope.
Penelope and Portia's Mother-Daughter Bond
Portia Featherington was not a very likable character during Bridgerton's two-season run. Nor has she been a loving mother. So it's very important to show her more loving and softer side – especially in her relationship with her daughters. And since Portia and Penelope have a lot in common, both making the most of what they have and not being afraid to manipulate people, it would be nice to see the two Featheringtons bond over their similarities.
Exploration of Polin's Arc
Sure, Season 3 will focus more on Colin and Penelope's love arc than anything else, but there's one very important thing that could ruin the entire installment if not addressed properly. In Seasons 1 and 2, Colin only saw Pen as a friend, if not a sister. In Season 3, however, he's supposed to realize his romantic attraction to her. But if his desire is so sudden, the plot won't make sense. So it's very important that the Netflix drama shows how this change happens in Colin.
Violet and Her Garden
While we're all excited to see how Polin and Peloise storylines will unfold, it's just as exciting to see what happens with Violet's love life. The mother of the Bridgerton family was portrayed as a selfless mother for most of the first and second seasons. At the end of Season 2, however, she found her 'garden in bloom' as she rediscovered her sexuality. Of course, it would be nice to see her find someone to love and tend to her 'garden.'
Francesca's Growth
By Season 3, which takes place in 1815, Frannie will have come of age, which means she will make her social debut during the season. The character, now played by Hannah Dodd, needs to show new layers and growth. In particular, it would be nice to see her develop relationships with the other Bridgertons – especially Eloise, as they are now the two oldest sisters in the household.
Season 3 will premiere on May 16.
