Looks like we've got ourselves a soundtrack for the Season 3 wait.

The upcoming Bridgerton season, dedicated to the love story of Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton, just got a lot more exciting. Creator Chris Van Dusen, a self-proclaimed Swiftie, recently shared via his Instagram that he had a special Taylor Swift anthem in his headcanon for each Bridgerton main couple.

According to Van Dusen, these songs played on a loop while he wrote for the show, which no doubt helped him get in the right mood and make each romantic story as unique and compelling as possible. So which songs did the writer choose for our beloved couples?

Naturally, Daphne and Simon's story was written to the sounds of 1989's 'Wildest Dreams.' The classic cover of the song was even part of the official Season 1 playlist. As for Kate and Anthony, they connect to 'Enchanted' from Speak Now. And though it didn't make the official soundtrack, this song perfectly describes the palpable, sexually charged chemistry between the Season 2 protagonists.

But what about Penelope and Colin, whose story has yet to hit the small screen? According to Van Dusen, their anthem is 'Dress' from the album Reputation. And if you haven't listened to it in a while, you definitely should. It is the ultimate mood for the Season 3 romance.

Penelope and Colin are set to play out a friends-to-enemies trope for the first time in the romantic series. Sure enough, Taylor Swift's hit has the line 'I don't want you like a best friend' — and that's good enough proof the song is a perfect choice for the characters.

Also, there are the words 'flashback when you met me,' which is also a likely direction for Van Dusen's plot. If it follows Julia Quinn's original novel, we can expect some flashbacks to when the main couple first met.

The iconic pop diva also sings about love and support despite mistakes and lies, which has to be about Penelope's secret gig as Lady Whistledown that has affected Colin himself and his loved ones. Looks like Pen won't get her happily-ever-after without a redemption arc!

Most importantly, the song is highly sexually charged, like in the line 'only bought this dress so you could take it off.' The Bridgerton cast and crew all promise that Season 3 will be the most romantic yet, with the best steamy scenes in the show. Fingers crossed!

Even if 'Dress' doesn't end up on the third season's official soundtrack, it's sure to be on every Bridgerton fan's playlist and on repeat until the season premieres, making the wait that much sweeter.
