The Bold and the Beautiful is an iconic CBS soap opera that’s been on the air since 1987.

More than 8000 episodes in total, the series is still running and has a multi-generational fandom. B&B, as it’s more commonly known, revolves around the Forrester family from Los Angeles, California, wealthy owners of a fashion business whose everyday lives and affairs are in the spotlight.

Having lasted more than 35 years, the series has undergone major changes, including the cast, plot lines, and production, being one of the few American soap opera classics that switched to HD format.

The series’ fans, however, call out its locations for being unreasonable and shabby. The main grievance is that the characters make enough money to afford nice accommodation. Instead, some of them literally live in a shack. Take a look at Liam and Hope Spencer, portrayed by Scott Clifton and Annika Noelle respectively, who live on the premises of Brooke Logan’s property.

Fans say that the place is so unreasonably small and simple that they’ve never actually seen the kitchen.

“All of their sets need a refresh. They all look like they are from 2005,” wrote Redditor Fishtaco1234.

It is understandable that B&B is a long-lasting show, but it looks like it needs to freshen things up. After all, the sense of novelty may well reignite people’s interest in the series and give it another couple of hundred episodes.

While some people are gossiping about the overall lack of sets for filming, others point out more irregularities. For instance, we are yet to see Eric Forrester’s guest house which he reportedly has. Nevertheless, B&B’s fans are mostly concerned with the characters’ financial status and the disparity between it and their “homes”.

“Hope & Liam and 2 kids live in a cabin (guest house), Thomas sleeps on friends couches, Ridge lives with his father. All these people have plenty of money,” user CatchinUpNow left a sarcastic comment on Reddit.

It's no secret that soap operas can be extremely unreasonable at times, and viewers generally don't expect much from them. But it would be a good move by the producers to add some new features and update locations on the show that’s been dragged out for generations.
