CBS is turbocharging Boston Blue with a Reagan-family reunion, bringing back Blue Bloods veterans later this season while introducing another Reagan and a slate of new guest stars.

If you figured Boston Blue would eventually raid the Blue Bloods bench, you were right. CBS is pulling more Reagan family threads into the spinoff, and the timing is not subtle.

Who is showing up, and when

After a loose-lipped moment from Donnie Wahlberg during a virtual TCA panel, TVLine and Matt's Inside Line stepped in to confirm the cameos and pin down the episode numbers. Here is the rollout, straight from those reports:

  • Len Cariou (Henry Reagan) pops up in Episode 13, airing in April.
  • Marisa Ramirez (Maria Baez) returns in Episode 15, also in April.
  • Bridget Moynahan (Erin Reagan) appears in Episode 17, set for May.

How we got here

Wahlberg, now playing Danny Reagan on the Boston PD beat after leaving the NYPD, accidentally tipped the guest list while talking about Danny's arc. The outlets confirmed the details later, and yes, it sounds like these appearances are meant to deal with fallout from Danny's transfer and the threads he left dangling back in New York.

'I think there are layers to all this still, right? So there is, of course, Maria, and I think they are figuring things out,' Wahlberg said.

Translation: Danny and Baez did not exactly leave things tidy, so expect that to get some oxygen when Ramirez shows up. Having Henry in the mix and Erin on deck should help tie the mothership to the spinoff in a way that feels less like a one-off stunt and more like a proper handoff.

Scheduling check

Boston Blue is back with Episode 10 on Friday, February 27, at 10 p.m. on CBS. The legacy cameos start in April and continue into May, so if you are tracking the Reagan family migration, Episodes 13, 15, and 17 are the ones to circle.
