Avatar: Fire and Ash Is Packing Four Different Avengers: Doomsday Trailers — Which One Will You Get?
One ticket, four Avengers teases: Disney will attach four different Avengers: Doomsday trailers to Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Disney is trying something different with the first peek at Avengers: Doomsday, and by different I mean you might have to camp out at your local multiplex if you want to see everything. The plan is to debut the teaser with Avatar: Fire and Ash, but there is a twist: there are four different teasers, and they will rotate weekly in theaters. Old-school stunt, modern studio muscle.
How the teaser rollout actually works
Per THR's Heat Vision newsletter, here is the setup: the first Avengers: Doomsday teaser will play with Avatar: Fire and Ash for one week, then Disney swaps in a new teaser the following week, and so on, until all four have had their turn. If you want to catch every cut, you are looking at multiple Avatar screenings. This has strong echoes of the late 90s, when people bought tickets to Meet Joe Black just to see the Star Wars: The Phantom Menace trailer before quietly heading for the exits.
Disney clearly wants this to be a theatrical experience, which raises the obvious question: will all four teasers hit the internet? That part is fuzzy right now. There is no guarantee every version will show up online in any official form.
The stakes, the hype, the quote
Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars are carrying the weight of fan expectations after Infinity War and Endgame. Cast reactions have been loud and glowing. Exhibit A: Channing Tatum, who is in this thing, went big on the hype meter.
Fans are 'just not ready' for their 'brains to ooze out their ears.'
Understood. Challenge noted.
That enormous cast (yes, including that last name)
Marvel stacked this one. It is a crossover fever dream in the best, most chaotic way. And yes, the twist you heard is real: Robert Downey Jr. is playing Victor von Doom this time. Here is the lineup as it stands:
