Are Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good Still Together Amid Assault Trial?
Are Majors' legal troubles threatening his personal life too?
Just a year ago, Jonathan Majors looked like one of the most promising actors in Hollywood, starring in movies like Creed III, The Harder They Fall, and being cast as the MCU's next big bad guy, Kang the Conqueror. However, all the high-profile projects that the actor had lined up in front of him were either postponed or moved on without him on board, all because of Majors' recent legal troubles that could land him in jail for at least two years.
In March of this year, Majors was arrested by the New York Police Department for allegedly assaulting a woman in his apartment, for which he was charged with assault and aggravated harassment. While the star and his representatives claimed that he was completely innocent and announced that they would share proof that Majors was the victim in this situation, Hollywood quickly banned the actor from appearing in future films until his trial on August 3.
Since then, Majors has become a pariah in the industry, and fans have wondered if his girlfriend, Meagan Good, has decided to stick with the actor or leave him over his troubling allegations of violence. Well, rumors of the couple's breakup were put to rest this Tuesday when Jonathan appeared in court for a preliminary hearing holding hands with Meagan, making it clear that the two are still an item.
However, people are a bit baffled that Good would choose to date Majors at all, arguing that her recent claims of celibacy and focusing on her career instead of wasting her time on men look rather odd after she appeared alongside an alleged assaulter like Majors.
'This makes no sense, she spent like a smooth 4 years talking about celibacy and some other religious stuff to turn around and date a dude who hits women,' one fan said.
Of course, Jonathan Majors is considered innocent until proven guilty, and it looks like his girlfriend knows something that makes her stick by his side no matter what. We should wait until the actor's trial begins on August 3 to find out how Good will react to the verdict.
