Fans suspected that the singer's new song was a sign of a rekindled romance.
Camila Cabello has had a number of romantic relationships that drew attention of the public and the press. Perhaps the most notable of them was her romance with the Canadian singer Shawn Mendes.
This romance was also rather infamous, as the couple was accused of using their relationship for the sake of publicity — something which Cabello and Mendes vehemently denied at the time.
The couple announced their breakup in November 2021, but in April this year, their fans thought that the two might be back together. So what made them suspect that?
Camila Cabello recently previewed her new song, 'June Gloom,' on her Instagram. Fans of the singer were stunned as they thought that some of the lines in the song were addressed to Mendes, despite the couple calling it quits more than a year ago.

The caption reads '4.12,' and this seems to be significant too because this may be the date when Camila and Shawn reconciled and started dating again. After April 12 this year, the couple were spotted together more than once. So, it's quite likely that Camila's new song and her Instagram post refer to Shawn and their renewed relationship.
But if these song lyrics didn't convince you, there's further proof. On April 14, at the 2023 Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California, Camila and Shawn were seen hanging out together, holding hands, and… kissing! Any doubts still?
However, despite the obvious evidence, a few anonymous sources deny Camila and Shawn's being back together, stating that the two remained good friends after their breakup and there is nothing romantic about their current relationship.
But still, the stars' actions and Camila's new song prove just the opposite… that is, unless their rekindled romance is just another publicity stunt.
